Obituaries can be submitted to A-K Valley News in a variety of ways. The quickest and easiest way is to submit online. You can also submit by fax, email, or mail. All obituaries must be received before 3:00 p.m. in order to be published in the next day’s edition.

-Your name and phone number
-The name of the deceased
-The date and place of death
-The date, time and place of the funeral or memorial service
-A brief summary of the deceased’s life (include surviving family members, education, work, military service, etc.)
-A photo of the deceased (optional)
Your obituary will be edited for style, length and clarity by our newsroom staff. Once it has been edited, a representative from our office will contact you to confirm publication details and to collect payment.
Obituaries may be submitted in person to our newsroom at 910 5th Avenue, Ford City, PA 16226. Please bring a copy of the death certificate and any other pertinent information with you when you come to submit the obituary. We also require contact information for the funeral home or cremation society handling arrangements.
